Meunier Museum (Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium)
Visit the house-workshop of the painter and sculptor Constantin Meunier. The creations of an artist inspired by industrial, political and social developments in Belgium at the end of the 19th century offer a realistic view of the world of work and industry.
Built in 1929, the house of banker and art patron David van Buuren is typical of the Amsterdam School. The interior is an Art Déco masterpiece with rare furniture, carpets and stained glass designed by Belgian, French and Dutch decorators. It also houses a collection of paintings and sculptures.
Do you dare to enter Brussels’ strangest museum? You risk coming face to face with an Elephant Man, Spider Woman or Cyclops Mummy... Follow the drops of blood and you’ll soon be acquainted with some trolls and creepy crawlies!
