EXPO Corneille Hannoset

WORKSHOP Projectionist for an evening

If you have questions about building accessibility and/or activities, please contact the museum directly.

At CINEMATEK, located next to Bozar in the Palace of Fine Arts, you can find out all about, you guessed it, cinema. In the Wunderkammer, the history of film is brought to life through various interactive showcases, starting from the Chinese shadow play to the famous cinematograph of the Lumière brothers.

EXPO In 1962, visual artist, graphic designer and scenographer Corneille Hannoset helped design the Musée du Cinéma, the predecessor of CINEMATEK, alongside curator Jacques Ledoux and architect Constantin Brodzki. His graphic and spatial work defined the institution’s identity in the Brussels public space until 2010.

WORKSHOP Cinema at CINEMATEK means films projected on analog film…almost every day of the year! For the Nocturnes, the team of projectionists will be demonstrating 35mm and 16mm projectors. You will be invited to learn how to load an analog projector yourself and project film extracts! –
